With summer and the cruise ship season upon us, it’s sure to be another very busy year for our hotels, after following on from the Rugby World Cup late last year (Well-done to the Mighty All Blacks!!!)

Last July, New Zealand hosted the Inaugural Oceania Congress and the 17th Annual General Meeting at the Rendezvous Hotel Auckland. This congress brought the ties between Australia and New Zealand even closer. This was history in the making and I was very humbled being a part of it. Special thanks to our UICH International President Virginia Casale for her well wishes and very kind words.

In January 2012 myself and four of my colleagues will be heading to London to attend the 59th UICH International Congress where we will show case everything New Zealand!

I will also have the opportunity to address the general assembly and give an update on preparation for the 60th UICH International Congress which will be held in Queenstown in 2013, (not too long to go now!) where we look forward to showing you all our beautiful country “As Good as it gets”….

Our Future
The Hotel Concierge Society Les Clefs d'Or New Zealand has achieved another year of consolidation, the future looks very positive as long as we continue to focus on education, networking, professionalism and most importantly ‘friendship’ with also a main focus on the 60th UICH International Congress which will be held here in beautiful New Zealand.
